Slow Cooked Veggie Chilli

Incorporating meat free meals into your meal plan is a great way to save money. One meal that works well as a vegetarian meal is chilli. I make a three bean chilli that can be made as it is or with meat (if you prefer).

Ingredients

  • I can of drained kidney beans
  • 1 can of drained pinto beans
  • 1 can of drained baked beans
  • 2 cans of chopped tomatoes
  • 2x diced bell peppers
  • 2x diced onions
  • 2 tbsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

Method

  • Mix everything together in your slow cooker
  • Cook on high for 4-6 hours

To freeze your leftovers, portion out the chilli into air tight containers and freeze once cool.
