January is a big planning month for me. I like lists…A LOT. In January I write a list of people I buy birthday presents for and a list for Christmas too. Why? Well, I like to be as prepared as possible. If I know who I need to buy for, I can keep an eye out in the January sales (and any sales throughout the year), and I can also source gifts second hand.
Another reason to have a list is to have a visible check list. I can cross each person off the list as and when I sort their gift, and this prevents me double-buying.

I like to keep a tangible list, but a note in your phone or a spreadsheet on your computer will work perfectly.
Are you a planner? Do you already have a system for tracking gifts like me? I’d love to hear how you plan.
